What Was Your Experience With Cognitive Decline And Brain Fog?

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Did you experience it?
How bad was it?
Did it affect your daily life?
How do you know it was because of your PCOS?
Did it get better with treatment?
And to what extent did it get better?

😂Nah, it's not confusing at all,the real puzzle is PCOS itself. I'm just as curious as you are. I once asked my oriental medicine doctor whether my cognitive issues were related to PCOS, and she suggested that perhaps the stress was causing my brain to falter. By the way, I understand how much cognitive difficulties can impact our lives. Wishing you all the best and the best with your work too.

I experience a lot of brain fog/fatigue/cognitive issues. I am also still trying to figure out how much of it is caused by pcos…because I used to be on medication for adhd but went off of it about 7 months ago and have been debating going back on it but I’m trying to figure out the cause of my GI upset/pelvic pain as well. I don’t really WANT to go back on my adhd meds if I’m honest but I may have to since I haven’t been able to go back to work without it…it’s definitely been a struggle with the brain fog and fatigue but idk how much to contribute to pcos or not…I’ve always struggled with it to an extent which makes me think it is pcos related but I’m not positive. Sorry for the probably very confusing answer that ended up being lol 🤦🏽‍♀️

Hahaha well I’m glad I made a little sense. And that also makes a lot of sense for stress to be causing/worsening cognitive difficulties as well. Oogly boogly life in general seems stressful! lol. And thank you wishing you the best as well!!
