Has Anyone Ever Been Sent To The Branch Surgery That's What's We Call Them In The Part Of Your Doctor's Surgery For An Ultrasound Scan?

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭
Warrington, UK

Every time I have been sent for an ultrasound scan, my doctors always sends me to the branch surgery even though I have told them that it's easier and nearer to the local hospital than the branch surgery, but they always say that it's because the company they use for ultrasound scans are only based at the branch surgery and I am fed up of them sending me to the branch surgery. I am also getting fed up with being told that I haven't turned up for appointments and not given a reason for not going… read more

Anyone Have Experience In How To Tell Your Partner?

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭
Cardiff wales

My partner has one child (10yr old) already with his ex and loves him so much. He’s SUCH an amazing dad he’s great with all kids and is crazy about me even though we’ve been together so long, the honeymoon phase still hasn’t ended. He’s perfect, but he wants another kid. I’m 26 and only got diagnosed with PCOS a little under a year ago (YEARS after symptoms should’ve given it away due to be raised in an all male household and having a fear of doctors) my mum likely had it too due to the symptoms… read more

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭
Bridgend, UK

I have noticed that every time before I start my period I experience dizziness. It also continues during my period.

This might be because you have anemia which is an iron deficiency. I got diagnosed with that and had similar symptoms around the same time I got diagnosed with PCOS.

Brain Fog/slow Thinking/memory

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭
Chicago, IL

Years ago I went on a keto diet for almost a year to stop progression of diabetes. It worked, years later my A1C1 is good, insulin is good and fasting glucose.
Well, ever since that. My brain never recouped. I forget alot, my witty comebacks are gone, etc. I talked to my dr about this at the time and she didn't seem to be concerned since eventually I remember. Anyone else have this? Years later I still miss my once sharp brain.

A myPCOSteam Member

I've noticed similar sluggishness on my keto diet, but it's hard to know whether or not my depression and ADHD also play a roll. I have found the brain fog is more manageable when I'm on my ADHD… read more
