Dealing With Larger Cysts?

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭
Syracuse, UT

I'm a bit exasperated as I start my 9th menstrual cycle in 4 months. Yes, it comes with all the PMS mood swings, cravings, and cramps every time. It's because I'm taking progesterone (originally prescribed because to potentially help depression? But my midwife told me to keep taking it after an exam not only diagnosed PCOS but also revealed a larger cyst that has her concerned). Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with larger cysts with PCOS and how they were treated/what the results were.

A myPCOSteam Member

Before I was diagnosed I was prescribed progesterone since my period stopped, it brought one on but then when I was diagnosed I was put on metformin and birth control which help with my cysts, cycle… read more

Has Anyone Ever Joined Another Sort Of Like Support Site Similar To My PCOSteam That Says Your PCOS Symptoms Don't Match Other PCOS Symptoms

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

I have joined a site similar to this one and I have joined different support groups on it for my different medical conditions I have, but it's says that my symptoms don't match the ones for pocs, but they do for another condition. That really confused me though as I was diagnosed with PCOS about 8 or 9 years ago and I had every test done for PCOS before I was diagnosed with it.

A myPCOSteam Member

I agree hun. I actually had the tests done twice as the first time I had them done I was with my ex in north Wales, but all the female doctor said was that I may have PCOS
I had them done again when… read more

How Do I Distract Myself From My Upcoming Hospital Appointments?

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭
Warrington, UK

On the 16th of Feb this year, I was taken to hospital in a taxi by my mum and my fiance as I had really bad stomach pains and I'd also been up all night being sick
I was discharged from the hospital on the 20th of Feb, but the doctor who came to see me said that I was going to be referred for an MRI scan and to see the gastro doctor
Both of my appointments are this month and I'm worried about what they're gonna find on my scan and what the gastro doctor is going to say to me.
I have a journal,… read more

What Can I Do To Help My Hair Grow Back?

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭
Grand Forks, ND

I have been struggling with lots of hair loss due to PCOS and it stopped shedding as much as it did in the past but I still feel like I can't wear my hair down without it shedding all over the back of my shirt. It has also been a while since it stopped shedding so much but my scalp is still very thin and while I do see some hair growing back I don't really see it growing back all over my scalp.

I didnt clarify the Myo D Chiro helped a lot with the hairloss
