IVF Shots

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

I will be starting IVF shots this month. I got the paperwork from the doctor’s office but have not met with the nurse to get all the instructions yet. It looks like there are weeks of shots, sometimes multiple times a day. Those of you who have gone through this- what is it like? Did you give yourself the shots or did a partner/spouse do it? I am slightly terrified of either of us doing the shots.

Please don't worry. It sounds a lot harder than it is. And if you come out pregnant, it is all worth it. I did IVF with ICSI one time and I now have a beautiful newborn boy. The daily shots are not that bad because the needles are very very small. You can do it yourself, I did it. And every time I did it I only thought about becoming pregnant :-)
