My gynecologist put me on metformin 500 mg twice a day to help regulate my insulin and also spironolactone 50 mg twice daily which is a diuretic that excrete excess male hormones from the body with the combination of those two and a daily multivitamin I got pregnant and wasn't expecting it. So maybe speak to your doctor see what plan of care can be implemented for you.

I was 42 and had already accepted that I likely wouldn't conceive at this point .I was put on metformin for insulin resistance and BANG...pregnant after 3 mos on 1500 met. Per day! unfortunately I miscarried just under 3 mos but got pregnant again 5 mos later ! ...had a beautifully healthy baby girl !
I did become gestational diabetic and needed insulin but right after baby was born I went off injections ad back on metformin and glyburide.

After a couple of years trying,
I finally got a referral to a fertility specialist.

They advised I needed to loose weight. Easier said than done as having pcos has really made that a challenge over the last few years despite a good diet.

Anyway, at the same time, on the advice of my reflexologist, I started taking ovasitol and within 3 months started having regular periods and fell pregnant in month 5. Still in 1st trimester (9wks) but getting pregnant itself is a huge achievement.

I'm continuing to take ovasitol during the pregnancy as this may help to avoid gestational diabetes as it helps regulate the insulin.

Since starting to take the supplement, I've also steadily been losing weight. Good diet and exercise hadn't been enough and this seems to be tipping the balance.

I also cut out all alcohol and refined sugar in the last two months. Started as a challenge for stoptober and I've continued. Wasn't difficult to do tbh as I had a good motivation and focus, especially once I found out I was pregnant.

I bought the individual sachet option. You take one am/pm mixed in with a little water. It's a bit pricey, £30 a month and you buy in 90 day packages. But I've had results and far cheaper than all the other supplements I've tried in the past.

Good luck with your journey x
