Loosing Weight With Pcos
I know its harder to loose weight with pcos but for anyone that has , do you have any suggestions for beginners ? And did it help with the pains ?
I suggest cutting out sugar and dairy and increasing activity level. Oh yes, also eating whole grain carbs and unrefined carbs such as brown rice, whole wheat bread, barley, buckwheat and eat good fats such as avocado and unsalted nuts.
I'm finally starting to lose more weight. I started my journey 5 years ago after my gallstones diagnosis, and my weight platoed last summer. I've been making a lot of positive changes since the beginning of February. I started with eliminating sugar & unhealthy processed foods. Lactose also isn't good. It may be helpful to know that artificial sweeteners are just as bad for PCOS, & insulin resistance. Then discovered that I have a gluten intolerance as do many women who have PCOS. Since eliminating it, the weight is starting to come off quickly. I found this PCOS Diet cheat sheet by Kim Campbell, and it's really been helpful!
