Members responded to a question about managing facial hair with PCOS by sharing a range of affordable and accessible solutions beyond expensive laser treatment. Several members recommended spearmint tea or pills (500mg taken 2-3 times daily) to naturally slow hair growth, with one member reporting noticeable results in just two weeks, while others mentioned prescription options like Vaniqa cream or spironolactone, and natural supplements like saw palmetto. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of excess facial hair and the community's understanding of that struggle, balanced with practical product recommendations including Flawless trimmers, Harry's razors with quality shave gel, Nair with hair inhibitors, and PCOS Naturals products that reduced shaving frequency to once every few weeks.

Amazon has spearmint pills 500mg I take the amount suggested 2 3x daily and in the two weeks I’ve been on it it’s crazy how much it’s slowed the growth down. Also shave with “to beard or not to beard by posh” and Harry’s razors

You can also get a prescription cream called Vaniqa. My Dr has offered it to me a few times but she said it only works as long as you put it on. As soon as you stop it goes back to how it was. I was looking for something more permanent so haven’t tried it.

I know how you feel. I have hair everywhere a man would have it plus my back. I use nair but I use a hair inhibator that helped my face. I've got to get it started on other parts of my body.

I tried laser and it didn't work for me. I have to shave mine every day. I've found that unscented shave gels and venus razors with the 5 blades are the only things that dont make it look worse. Hope you find something.
