Does Anyone Else Feels Like Their Ovaries Hurt?
I always get a sharp cramp in my right ovary when I ovulate that lasts at least two days. Right now I have multiple cysts on both ovaries and my right ovary is doubled in size.
My obgyn told me that PCOS ovaries are always enlarged and under pressure because of our cysts. The casing around our ovaries is thicker which causes the cysts to form because the egg isn’t released it stays trapped in the ovary. Basically women with PCOS have big ovaries and we can feel them compared to a woman who doesn’t have PCOS. I can feel when I ovulate it doesn’t matter which ovary it’s from.
The purpose of the ovarian drilling is to open holes in the ovary to allow the eggs to be released. I don’t know if I will ever have that done but I never knew the purpose of that surgery. I hope this helps!
Cysts can become very painful, either when they grow large or when they burst. if the pain persists, I would encourage you to go see your doctor.
Thank you! I’ve never heard of ovarian drilling, sounds painful! My OBGYN told me my right ovary was slightly enlarged too, I just wish it didn’t have to hurt so much! xx
