Cures For Non-stop Greasy Hair?
I've always had hair that feels greasy quite quickly, I've washed it every day for the last 8 years or so, but had 24 hours of pretty clean hair. I usually get a little patch above my left ear that is waxy and gross instantly after showering and stays that way for 3 days when I've got my period, but that was manageable.
Now both sides of my head are really waxy and gross 24/7. This sudden change is more than I can cope with, I'm already overweight with acne, my hair was the only thing I had… read more
I used to get that too. Selsun blue was the only thing that worked for the waxy stuff. It doesn't smell great bit it relieved it for quite a bit. Also used a fine tooth comb to get it out.
I had a phase of having lots of dandruff too! I honestly dont know if my hair products helped or not but I used a cheap tea tree oil shampoo. Also I swear by my conditioner for not causing breakouts (if I change I'm cursed with bacne!) Its lOreal paris the red lid and white bottle with keratin I think. Basically my "cure" for it was drinking apple cider vinegar with dinner ever night! My thoughts are you need to get the actual pcos under control. Dont separate your hair from more internal treatment even though doctors insist that you can only treat the symptoms...i disagree! Theres so much we can do to be healthier, to get the nutrients we need that helps fight pcos
Try apple cider vinegar rinse in the shower
That's so interesting. I have to wash my hair everyday too or it gets pretty greasy. Lately I can go 2 days without washing my hair but I just use extra shampoo which has some tea tree oil in it. I used to use head and shoulders the lemon kind also.
Ketocanazole shampoo to treat seborheic dermatitis helped my greasy itchy scalp a lot. Now I use that maube once a month and use head and shoulders 2 in 1 sensitive formula as a regular shampoo. I also found that getting my testosterone levels better in check helped reduce that issue pretty significantly.
