Failed IUI

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Im 26 years old and have been diagnosed with PCOS for about 2 years. We are trying to conceive and have had many appts and treatments done but nothing has worked. We just did our first IUI and it failed. I’m so hurt and confused why nothing is working when there really isn’t anything wrong.. people with PCOS dont always struggle with fertility. We’ve been trying for 5 years and it’s so hard to stay positive

I am sorry you are going through that. I have had PCOS since my teens though wasn't diagnosed until early 20's. I had fertility issues but a reproductive endocrinologist was able to help me with the use of metformin. Don't give up. I definitely recommend a reproductive endocrinologist!

Pcos just makes it more difficult to become pregnant that's all hun as myself and my fiance have been ttc for almost 9 years now and we have been talking about trying to book our preconception check ups on one of his days off so that we can go together, but he only has Tuesdays and Thursdays off work now.
Plus the bus fares in our hometown are ridiculous as I've got an appointment in just under 2 weeks, which my fiance used to come with me to, but he can't now as its on a day he works and also its cheaper for me to go on my own, but my fiancé will be talking to me on the phone both before and after my appointment.
