What Can I Do To Help My Hair Grow Back?

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭
Grand Forks, ND

I have been struggling with lots of hair loss due to PCOS and it stopped shedding as much as it did in the past but I still feel like I can't wear my hair down without it shedding all over the back of my shirt. It has also been a while since it stopped shedding so much but my scalp is still very thin and while I do see some hair growing back I don't really see it growing back all over my scalp.

Hi I'm sorry about your hair loss it looks like you may have the PCOS that I have. I have high dheas levels which then it may convert to DHT. I also had high testosterone levels. Doctors are failing to test foe dheas. High levels of dheas can also cause anxiety and insomnia or sleep issues in general. I am taking 500 ER of metformin and myo D Chiro Inisitol. That helped A LOT. a natural doc recommended it to me and if you look at Amazon it's highly rated by PCOS patients, it also helps with fertility issues. I take 2 capsules eventhough the bottle says 4. Good to luck to you hope this helps ad it did for me. Make sure thyroid, ferritin, iron levels are also normal because that can cause hairloss as well. If you haven't gotten these test from your doc advocate for yourself.
