More on metformin: this medication is actually for diabetic patients and is really to help with insulin resistance and high glucose levels. However, metformin has no effect to help with regulation of hormone imbalances

Have you tried taking inositol?

It’s actually over the counter and has really helped me with insulin resistance and IBS issues. It’s made to help with hormone imbalances which is the issue that causes all the PCOS symptoms. Metformin is really to help with the symptoms. I had a period soon after taking it too it’s helped with balancing my hormones and the symptoms.

Best is the combination of Myo-inositol and D-Chiro-inositol 40:1 ratio which studies show best support. There’s Ovasital which is name brand but more expensive. But I’ve switched over to a brand intimate rose which also has ashwagandha and vitamin D. So far I like it

Hope this helps:)
