Wegovy Or Ozempic?

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question đź’

Hi, is anyone taking either of these for weight loss? My doctor wants to get me down in weight as I am obese now. At least 50lbs by next year. She suggested wegovy. I am waiting to decide to go on this until I see an endocronologist again. I am 45 right now and all methods of weight loss have been harder than before. I had a baby at 41. I started taking a low dose of inositol for the insulin resistance and have cut back on eating and watching the carbs and haven't lost anything. However… read more

I highly recommend trying an allergen free diet if you don’t already! I started one about 10yrs ago around the first time I was diagnosed and that helped me drop weight (without counting calories or even trying as hard as before)-also made my periods almost regular for almost 10yrs until a recent seizure I had. Now I’m almost back to normal after following it strictly again the last 6months. Have recommended to many women struggling to lose weight and/or struggling to lose weight due to hormonal, thyroid, or other imbalances and have always received great feedback. The diet is gluten, dairy, soy, corn, egg, peanut, and artificial sweetener free. You can also look up the “JJ virgin diet” but I think her instructions are a bit over the top specific and strict…I say just cutting out those fooods for a month and focusing on less processed foods that don’t contain any of those ingredients for 30days and then see how you feel. After 30 days, if you want to, you can reintroduce foods ONE by ONE to see which ones you may be reacting to. Almost everyone I’ve ever recommended this diet to didn’t even want to bring anything back into their diet because they felt SOO much better and lost a bunch of weight naturally in 30days. Anyways, sorry for the super long response I just thought it might be worth mentioning cause it’s helped me and so many others so much! Best of luck to you with everything though! I hope you find what works for you!
