My OB/GYN prescribed me metformin and I'm scared to take it cause it's side effect is stomach aches, vitamin B12 Deficiency, if taken for long periods of time.

take the slow release metformin, I couldn't handle regular metformin, was running to the bathroom every few hours... slow release will release slower, I had almost no side affects and can tolerate it. I kept rejecting the metformin until the doctor mentioned they had a slow release one, in my head I was like well why didn't you mention this years ago.

My sister is currently taking metformin, I refuse to and it's the only thing my doctors have been pushing the past 6 years. Metformin put my grandma into renal(kidney) failure after 6 months of use. All my life if my grandma is unable to use a product I can't either so I won't take the chance on that one. My sister has had no issues with it and has seen great results however.

I believe it can be reversed, with a health diet and moderate excercise, but it’s not easy.
