Regular Periods After Stopping Birth Control?

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭
Marshall, MN

I recently stopped taking birth control to see if I will have regular periods. I know it will probably take a little while for my body to adjust.
My question is how long does it usually take? I don't wanna go back on birth control. Is there something anyone can suggest to help regulate naturally?

Have you stopped taking it? Ive been wondering the same. I need to find a new obgyn. Im 26, and no sex drive! (Tmi?) I think its because of the birth control? Ive lost a lot of weight, i am hoping it has lessened the impact of the pcos.. but i have confirmed cysts. I dont want to make them worse by stopping it. I feel like theres no winning :/

Can take anywhere up to 18 months - when I went off birth control it took me 3 years for my cycle to self regulate...the sad answer for us is we are all different
