Has Anybody Used A Nutritionist To Customize A Diet Plan For PCOS?
Would you recommend? How did you find them? (Unsure what to even google!!)
Haven't used a nutritionist but I have had great results through my own reading of medical research. I would first recommend the book "8 steps to reverse your PCOS" This book gives you a good foundation for some of the biochemical factors at play so you understand how food affects you and also provides suggestions for food and recipes.
I would also suggest looking into research about time restricted eating. You can find a lot of good resources if you go to Rhonda Patrick's website for this topic.
Consider an anti-inflammatory diet for PCOS because inflammation is a major issue with the disorder. The one change that yielded the biggest breakthrough for me was cutting out refined sugar and carbohydrates
My doctor told me to eat 1200 calories and eat protien and veggies and fruits. Stay away from dairy. I use almond milk now. I also took adipex. Lost 26 pounds the first month taking it.
Hi Shannon,
I just saw your message- sorry just new to the pages how is he Keto diet going?
what's the program called? i just started the Keto Diet, b/c it's been said to help people with hormone disorders lose weight, but i can't tell if i've made any progress so far...so frustrated :/
I just lost 60 pounds on a great program that focused on keeping my sugar levels stable by eating high protein every 2 1/2 - 3 hours .. combined with education on habits of health and personal coaching I feel like I can finally keep off the weight and move forward. Just wish I did it sooner.
