I found an African black soap and a mud mask that worked reallt well for me. Its designed specifically for "troubled" skin and ive had no complaints. I posted a status update about it a few weeks back. Ill mention you there and see if you can actually see it

I've used quite a few products over the years! I actually almost got rid of my acne completely...like it wasnt coming back BUT then quarentine happened and my eating habits and sleep routine got messed up. Stress plus feeling isolated...now my acne is back but I am able to effectively fight it and clear it up quickly! How? I use this amazing face face 2 times a day called Acalon Organics with lavender and probiotics. Then i use for larger spots a topical cream from my doctor. Some times I rarely use the medicated cream these days! I've always used a moisturizer called Effeclar duo by La Roche Posay. I credit it with getting rid of dead skin which you need to get rid of as it can clog dirt and oil in your pores. I use this cream every morning and occasionally at night. I use a vitamin C serum on my face also. Most havnt clogged my pores but only use a tiny amount. I have super sensitive skin so these products arent harsh like that awful Proactiv which burned my skin!

And acutane is such an intense option I’d more likely recommend spironolactone if you’re looking for a medication option! I’ve never taken it myself though but my friend is someone that really hates taking any kind of meds so that’s like the only thing she is on that I know of. Anyways sorry for the long response!

So for me, stopping eating dairy was HUGE. I used to get horribly painful acne (especially cause I loved frozen yogurt haha) until going off of dairy (was never recommended by anyone but I did my research and it helped significantly..). Can’t promise it’ll clear it up 100% but it makes a huge difference if you give it a try. I also avoid gluten, soy, corn, eggs, and peanuts now so that may help as well..but I think what contributes the most is dairy. Another thing that I’ve heard works for some people is spironolactone. I had a friend who struggled with terrible cystic acne and going off dairy helped a LOT but not quite enough so she went on Acutane treatment but her acne still returned after a few years :/ so then she ended up on spironolactone which seems to work very well for her! Cause otherwise she’s told me that the only thing that works well besides spironolactone is birth control but me and her agree the side effects of birth control suck 😝 I hope you figure out what works best for you though! So sorry you’re struggling with this. Acne freaking sucks :(
