Does Anyone Know How Long It Takes Your Body To Adjust To The Hormones From Birth Control?

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

i’ve mentioned this- but the last pill i was on made me crazy. i just started the new pill today. i just want to know when i’m going to feel human again. my family gives me zero support and i feel like i’m dealing with this all on my own and i feel like i’m drowning and all they keep saying is i’m not even trying

My doctor said give new birth control about 3 months and if it still is giving you issues then its time to switch. I have been on lile 5 different birth control pills. 2 out of the 5 pills i took made me crazy and emotional. Im on the 3rd month of this new pill and things are starting to feel normal for me. So just give it a few months!! Hang in there girl! I know it really sucks but i know exactly how you feel. Youre not alone!

I hope the new hormones help you, I've been desperately trying to find a solution to my hormone imbalance too, I'm trying to psych myself up to ask a doctor for some sort of treatment, but I'm afraid he's not really suitable for my problem, he didn't do anything to help with my hormones in the past when I suspected there was a problem... I didn't get a diagnosis of my endometriosis until I ended up in hospital with a female doctor who knew right away I needed a scan.

I'm on a roller coaster of fear of pain, fear of treatment and fear of breaking down in tears because I just don't have any control anymore
