What Should I Do To Change My Diet Lifestyle?
I was diagnosed with PCOS about a month ago. What were your first steps for dieting? Also, so many of you go to a nutritionist or have you mainly done the research on your own?
I went to a nutritionist for a while at one point. I wasn't on any meds, but had struggled to lose baby weight after my kid and then gained more when I started going through divorce. I haven't really stuck with it since, but it made a huge difference in recognizing stuff like how my body fat % is not actually what they say it is just going off of height x weight, and it did kinda reset my metabolism. I found someone who wasn't expensive & really tailors things specifically for you, though... We would meet once a week... I lost about 60lbs in a year
I started keto recently to try and get my cycles regular and cut down on the inflammation of my body. I’ve lost 8 lbs so far and had a cycle 3 days shorter than the one before. I didn’t see a dietician, just started doing research on how I could help myself.
Many research on my own in my case.
