Mediterranean Diet Vs Gluten Free And Dairy Free Diets For PCOS?
I have seen all kinds of different diet recommendations but these two seem like the most often recommended. Anyone have experience with either or both?
I found out two years ago that my husband and I are lactose intolerant and I must say that going dairy free is hard since it is hidden in so much food/seasoning. Overall though it makes you cook more of your own unprocessed food and goes well with the Mediterranean diet. Going gluten free is much harder than dairy free but if you want to try one I would go dairy free first since it cuts out a lot of processed foods and sweets!
Best results I’ve ever had for helping the symptoms of this syndrome is a gluten, dairy, soy, corn, egg, and peanut free diet. Helped me (and everyone I’ve recommended it to who tried it for at least 30days) drop weight without trying. Also helps me keep the weight off fairly easily now. Changing to this diet years ago normalized my period for a long time (until a seizure recently) and sticking to it after the seizure has helped me get almost back to normal it’s just taking a lot longer than before.
