Does Anyone Experience Extreme Bouts Of Bloating When They Eat?

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭
Dublin, IE

I seem to bloat up after eating. It doesn't always happends, but it seems to appear when I'm more stressed out. It can get quite intense... I can lose up to one pant size in 24h and then gain it back in a couple days time. I tried keeping a food vs bloating journal, but it just happens whenever. I even started recording the days event to try figure what was going on, bUT still no clue... I was wondering if it happened to anyone else, and what they had done to deal with this, as I am getting… read more

It’s harder not impossible. An endocrinologist is very good to go get your hormones checked and what might be the cause of the weight gain. As for what your dad said, he’s right. Do not eat dominoes… read more

Treatment Options?

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭
Muncie, IN

I have been seeing my doctor for about a year now. So far, I feel like my treatment plan is not working. I don’t feel like all of my symptoms are being addressed, and I feel like I’m getting the standard ( metformin & birth control) treatment. I don’t feel like my testoerone levels are under control because my acne, body odor, and weight are out of control. I feel sick when I take the metformin & sick when I dont. Over all, I feel like this plan isnt working. What are some other treatment… read more

Recently Diagnosed

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭
Derby, UK

Hi Ladies. So I got diagnosed today. My doctor wasn't very helpful. I don't know what type of PCOS I have and wasn't aware that there were other types of PCOS. I do a lot of research into things and had questions to ask. But when I got in there today and he told me the news I froze. I still don't really understand this Insulin thing. I have excessive hair growth on my face. Does anyone have any tips for that? That is my main concern at the moment.

Hair Removal Ideas

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭
Dracut, MA

I've been trying to find a good at home hair removal device because I can't afford to go to a professional. I've done quite a bit of research and found a few at home hair removal devices, out of all of them the LumaRx device seems to be the best and get the best results. Has anyone tried this before? If so, did you see results?

A myPCOSteam Member

You could try going on groupon for laser hair removal! I know it's still kind of expensive, but I got 3 treatments from $80 and it lasts for years

I Was Diagnosed With PCOS In 2008. However Because I Have Never Wanted Kids I Have Never Had Treatment.

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭
Galashiels, UK

Basically I've been thrown under the bus by GP's etc because they don't need to address my fertility. Even I'M not sure what symptoms I have/should be looking for! Have recently had a blood test which showed low folic acid and I've been put on tablets but I'm not even sure what they do! All the literature inside the box deals with pregnancy which obvs isn't why I'm taking them! Should I be asking for more tests? Or a referral? I have a LOT of health issues but I've been ignoring them and I have… read more
