Since January I’ve Had Regular Cycles. It’s Always Been Irregular. Any Insight On Why?

I’m 37 and have had my cycle for well over 20 years. Since my cycle started, it’s been irregular. I can’t remember a time when it was regular. I’ve had to take progesterone at times too. I have two children that were conceived when I wasn’t aware that I had ovulated. After the birth of my youngest child in 2016, I began to experience a cycle every two weeks. In 2013 I got pregnant and lost my baby at 18 weeks. After the miscarriage I’ve had a regular menstral cycles every 29-32 days. All of a sudden no menstral cycle this month. I took a pregnancy test but it was negative. I’m 38 and I know my body is changing. I don’t know what to say about PCOS.

Thanks for your insight. That’s a perspective I didn’t consider. I have tons of hair growth especially on my face. I hate it. Maybe with the regulation of my cycles, the hair growth will lesson too.

Maybe there's something about being in your 30s and having some hormonal changes. I was on the pill for YEARS with no problem, then out of nowhere they started giving me migraines. Then the next ones I tried gave me anxiety. I still have some hair growth, too, but my cycles seem to be trying to regulate without the help of birth control. Wouldn't it be wonderful if PCOS gets better the older you get?? I've read it never really goes away, but you can manage it with lifestyle changes to a point where it's not really a problem anymore.
