Anyone Else UK Based?

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭
Nottingham, UK

Feel like PCOS in the UK is so far behind where it seems to be in the US. Currently 23 (nearly 24) with no intention of having a baby anytime soon but managing my symptoms through weight loss so that when I am ready for a baby I have the body to support that. However, there doesn’t seem to be any help at all in the UK for women like me that just want symptom management. Been told I don’t qualify for things like Metformin or Clomid because I’m not diabetic or wanting a baby and just wanting a… read more

I am currently a graduate student at the University of Miami, and for a class project, I've chosen to delve deeper into an area that's not just an academic interest but a personal one as well—PCOS. This project is very close to my… read more

I'm in search of a partner for a 'body doubling' or accountability project. My goal is to address my eating disorders, which include compulsive eating, binge eating, and food addiction. I'm seeking someone who would like to embark on this journey together with me, sharing our efforts and progress.

You probably are not eating soon enough, which is causing this. I find in myself if I get too hungry my sugar plummets and I am grabbing for instant gratification food. Watch your stress, this does… read more

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭
Atlanta, GA

I can only take Progesterone 0.35 mg mini birth control to assist with restoring my menstrual. I took my first pill at 10:00 p.m (Tuesday) around 11’ish I started to feel my calf ache with a burning sensation and immediately I thought “blood clot” 😳 but I do recall having my leg bent/angled. Do blood clots form that fast? When I took this exact same birth control earlier this year I had problems with my right calf that I stopped after only taking the pill for 3 days. However during that time I… read more

I was curious because that was only day one, I’m not familiar with how fast blood clots form. Though that’s not what I’m thinking is going on here.

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭
Suffern, NY

I have always taken ortho tri cyclene since diagnosed but was interested in the ones that skip your period. I just wanted to see others experiences with them and how it works - if it helped or made it worse. Thanks!

A myPCOSteam Member

No it's not. The goal is to regain a normal cycle or at least it should be the goal...not to fuck your body up more no offense

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭
Hemingway, SC

Just found out few weeks ago that the reason why i been having trouble getting pregnant. PCOS. My doctor has me on metformin. And im dieting. What else has helped.?

A myPCOSteam Member

I would be kinda scared to use anything I bought in Mexico. The Clomid itself isn't what's so expensive here, it's all the doctor's visits and ultrasounds you have to have with it. :/

Why Is The Doctor Percribing Me Spironolactone?

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭
Hawthorne, CA

So the doctor had done a ultrasound on me on my first appointment seeing him and informed me that "it looks like my uterus lining is thick" so he prescribed me with 200mg progesterone for 10 days to thin out the lining and have my menstrual regulated. He mentioned that it should regulate my period which i havent had since age 22 and i am 33 right now.
