Any Healthy Breakfast Ideas?

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭
Oamaru, NZ

I have realized that a high protein breakfast works best for me, to sustain my blood sugar and insulin levels and also keep cravings at bay. Eggs are obviously perfect, but wow I am getting tired of eggs.

Any ideas, to switch it up a bit?

Emotions

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭
Lake Worth, FL

Recently I have been suffering from more than usual depressing thoughts. My doctor suggested I go see a shrink. At first, I had reservations but now I think its the only way to get better! I called around and either no one picks up, wait time on phone is 1 hour, they don't take new patients, or the timings don't match with mine
This is tough, I think this maybe a sign that I should not see one as I maybe judged. Does anyone see one? If so, does it help? I have also been trying to get a hold of… read more

Can Anyone Offer A Non-birth Control Option To Help Treat My High Testosterone?

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭
Tucson, AZ

So I had my annual labs done and no shocker, my testosterone is high (which I know is common for PCOS women). This is the highest it has ever been for me though. My OB/GYN wants me to start birth control to treat my endometriosis and my high testosterone but since we are trying to get pregnant (constantly hoping for a ttc miracle) I really want to avoid this. My testosterone was 63. Any ideas?

A myPCOSteam Member

I had very high testosterone 7 months ago and my endocrinologist prescribed me Finasteride daily and I just did my labs a week ago and my levels were back to normal.
