I’ve been talking to my doctor about how I haven’t gotten my period since April of 2017 & he’s been telling me that all these symptoms that I’ve been dealing with are all due to my hormones being imbalanced & that most of my current health issues could possibly be reversed if I lost weight. My obgyn has recommended for me to get a gastic bypass surgery and im a little worried.... I have been trying to have kids for past 6 years and ive either miscarried or just wasnt succesfull. Dr said my chances will change but ive been told that before too.... Has anybody else has a gastric bypass done?

My hormones are balanced but I still deal with hirsutism on a daily basis. So much so that I shave (my face) every day, if not twice a day.

Hi all. I'm new on here. I have an appointment with my primary care physician Monday. I've been diagnosed with PCOS and since then have felt like I am not getting enough help. Since my diagnosis I have continued to gain weight, grow more facial hair, get more acne and overall feel awful. It is making me depressed and want to sleep all the time. I also have hypothyroidism. I feel as if someone is stabbing me to death in my pelvic area with each step I take. I have been experiencing this for over a year and it's awful, I have to limit my walking distance even in my own home and sit down often.

I’m newly diagnosed and haven’t a clue what it fully means to function with PCOS. I have always had heavy periods as well as ovary pain but I’ve typically always had a cycle every 28 days and I also ovulate. However my lab work indicated that I do have it. I don’t know up from down. I’m 33 and want to have a child someday and now I don’t know if that’s ever a possibility. I’m terrified and just want hope / help.

I only do when I take Provera.

I have already tried Metformin, Vitex, weight loss, exercise, clean eating. Still have never had a cycle on my own.

I just started taking inositol, so I'll give that a shot for a few months to see if that helps at all. Any other ideas? Is there anything you have been able to do to naturally get a period?

The time I was told that I may have PCOS I was with my ex. I'd come off the pill cerazette in the April of 2012, but my periods reappeared a heck of a lot lighter than they were and it was like they were never gonna stop, so I told my ex that I would leave seeing the doctor until the New Year to give them a chance to return to "normal" as I'd been on the pill for years and I want to give my periods a chance to settle before I contacted the doctors
